Job Description:

The Communications Business Partner - People will support our new Chief People Officer and the People team. With a new strategy that prioritizes building the culture and workforce for our next stage of growth, we have an ambitious roll-out of people programs planned.

This role will be closely aligned with the People team to support and advise on all aspects of communications from major change programs, such as rolling out a global pay framework, to helping our D&I groups get their message across.

We’re looking for someone with a keen interest in culture who brings a creative flair to their work. But, equally, you’ll be data and measurement driven to make sure the work we’re doing is achieving its objectives. You’re interested in the latest developments in employee engagement and can bring skills and experience in how we give employees a voice.

As you’ll be working for a global company, travel will be necessary and you will sometimes be expected to join calls and attend meetings at unsociable hours.

We have high standards in our team, and we are looking for a talented individual who thrives on making a difference and enjoys a challenge.

The ideal People Business Partner:

  • An excellent track record in employee communications with significant experience of managing change and employee engagement programs. You’ll need to be someone who can see beyond the immediate need and is always thinking about the wider opportunity of how we help our employees feel engaged and committed.

  • An understanding of strategy and the ability to tell the story. Our role in employee communications is to help the business achieve its goals. That means we need to understand business strategy and have the skills to tell our story across different business, countries and cultures, in a way that helps everyone understand where we’re going, how we’ll get there, and their role in helping make it happen.

  • A keen interest in and experience of driving results through culture. We believe the biggest impact we can have on our future is through our people. We will be rolling out numerous new people programs and want someone who can match our approach to communications and channels with the latest developments in culture and engagement.

  • Creative flair. We don’t want run-of-the-mill. We want creative content that stands out! Whether it’s copy, campaigns, video or events, we need someone who produces creative and compelling content that can achieve its objective. You’ll need to know when content should find its way to the cutting room floor and can make sure it gets there.

  • Resilience, drive and patience. We have big ambitions but it’s not going to happen overnight and we will hit roadblocks. You’ll need to be driven and have the confidence to challenge but also the political nous to know which battles to fight.

  • Great with stakeholders. Relationships are everything! You’ll need to be able to advise, coach and support leaders throughout our business in different locations. Like any business, we have a variety of personalities and you’ll need the sensitivity and gravitas to influence a broad range of people.

  • Amazing networking skills. We can’t do our job if we’re not in the know. You’ll need to work the organization and know the word on the street so we can advise our leaders about issues and opportunities. You’ll also know who to turn to around the world when we need input for a story or someone to be the face of our latest campaign.

  • Excellent writing skills. Dow Jones owns The Wall Street Journal. Enough said about why you need to be able to hold your own on the writing front - we need accuracy and creativity!

If you tick all of these boxes and want to join a team of great people set to make a big difference, then we would love to hear from you.
