the shoe-drobe
here are some scenes from around the new house that make me really happy. my latest pride and joy (and labor of love) is the shoe-drobe, a jelly cupboard that i bought from an unfinished furniture store and painted over the weekend. i really didn’t have a system for my shoes in the old place so they were just haphazardly placed wherever they fit, on shelves or in cabinets, often on top of each other (poor things). now they finally have a home, where they can be safe from dust and dirt, and where i can close the doors to keep the room looking neat. now that my room (ie clothes, shoes and accessories) is unpacked and in order, i can finally begin to feel at home.

Holy collection! That is an enviable shoe cupboard for sure.
I could also use a scarf ladder. My basket that I use to store mine is out of control.
Love the shoe cupboard! I’ve been trying to find a latter to put my jeans on for agessssssssss with no luck
can’t wait to see more pics of the new house!
i don’t know if i should be more jealous of the shoe cupboard or your amazing collection of shoes. whatever, i’m just jealous. you did such a great job styling your home. it looks so cute! and i love those knobs too! very vintagey.
Oh you BIOTCHE! How on earth did you get your hands on that Gucci tapestry bag? It’s the only bag I’ll ever really want, forsaking all others. I’d trade my car for it. Jelly!!!!!!!!!
ahhhmazing
your shoes make me cry….
no fair.
weeping.
since i am really terrible with decorating, i love seeing photos from other people’s houses/apartments! i must’ve stared at your scarf, shoe, and bag pics for 10 minutes, lol. the jelly cupboard shoe storage is genius- i’ve been trying to come up with a storage solution for mine, and this is perfect! now i am off to ‘group’ things around my apt… ~joelle
Gorgeous!
Now let us see more of the house!
XO
Laura, the lighting on those photos is spectacular! You should check out Frankie Magazine -it’s an Australian craft/clothes/urban trendy got it all publication. They have shoots like this all the time with still-life’s where they super saturate the colors on the objects. I think you’d love it!
