i haven’t been able to stop wearing this blazer since i got it last week. i won it off ebay after deciding that i needed more olive green in my life. i was looking for something that was kinda 70s drab, with a vintage feel, and in velvet (i’ve been into velvet lately), and there it was. the color has made the jacket a fun challenge to style, and has turned out to be more versatile than i would have thought. you can see i’m basically working from a formula here–silk scarf, knee-length a-line silk skirt, chocolate brown bag–which tends to be my latest default, and is a little more interesting than just pairing it with jeans (although i have done that too).

love that blazer! i’ve just recently been contemplating adding more velvet to my wardrobe..
I really dig the contrast between the green velvet and your red hair. Great combo!
Interesting color combination like these are like candy for my eyes! That velvet jacket is the PERFECT color! I would never think to invest in more olive green but your RIGHT. Now i need more!
i have this blazer as well, and love it, though i kind of wish it had a real button closure instead of hook-and-eye. the lack of buttons makes it easier to cinch w/ a belt, though.
the first thought that came to mind when i saw this was an image of my film prof from last semester. he always had a velvet blazer (like 5 in diff colors). he looks like jeff daniel with thom york’s hobo hair. it’s hilar.
